ASL Q&A and Errata

As a service to the SL and ASL community, MMP continues with the Avalon Hill tradition of providing rules Q&A service for SL and ASL.  This service has several components:

  1. ASL Q&A listing provided periodically in the ASL Journal.

  2. SL and ASL Q&A listing provided on this website.

  3. Postal mail, email, or web-based SL and ASL Q&A submission direct to MMP.

  4. Periodic batch posting of email / web-based ASL Q&A to the ASL Mailing List. (Remember that Q&A/errata are not official unless printed in an Avalon Hill or MMP ASL product, such as the ASL Annual or an ASL module.)

  5. Specific product errata listing on each product page.

Official Comprehensive ASL 2nd Edition Q&A/Errata

The following errata for the ASLRB 2nd Edition has been designed to allow you to print it out on adhesive-backed paper, cut it out, and "stick" it in your rulebook over the areas in question. The fonts and font size have been duplicated in each instance to allow the cut out corrections to be placed on top of the initial errors. A desription of the errata is listed first, followed by the corrected area intended for cutting out (i.e., the rule section as it should now read). Because some of the errata threw off the existing formatting in some areas, some addtional material has been reformatted and provided to make sure that all the material fits in the proper space (e.g., B8.61-.63). Please take care to cut as close to the text as possible before applying these in your ASLRB.

Official Comprehensive ASL Q&A/Errata

The listing provided here builds on the earlier comprehensive listing published in the 1996 ASL Annual {96}and incorporates its contents along with the Kampfgruppe Peiper II errata in that issue, the OBA Q&A on the Offboard Artillery Player Aid in Action Pack #1 {AP1}, and the Debriefing sections published in the 1997 ASL Annual {97} and the ASL Journal #1 {J1}. Material that has been superseded by subsequent errata, etc., has been deleted. If an entry has appeared in more than one source, only the latest source is cited (which is why {96} is the most frequent source). Rules addenda/errata from the ASL Rulebook show the new rule where the addendum/errata are inserted, e.g., {0.3}, or in the case of the Chapter E clarifications, the page number {E26}, which refers to the 1990 Errata page.

Note that the Q&A and Errata pages are still under construction from a presentation stand-point.  We wanted to make them available in the meantime.
