OK, figured it out on how to do this and wanted to give an update on what's going on for stuff this week.

I just handed in the Tide at Sunrise map for printing and should be handing in the rules tomorrow or Friday.

After that, finishing up the Where Eagles Dare stuff for handing in next week.

Apologies that I haven't posted the errata from King Philip's War, Fury in the East or Starvation Island yet but will get to it next week.  I am happy to answer questions on these games and do have the current errata posted in the header for the game folders on consimworld.

Any updates people would like, please feel free to ask...I will be catching up on all of my stuff as time permits but need to be reactive for the time being.

Re: Tide at Sunrise update

Thanks for the update. 2 questions:

1. Can you please tell us what the typical lead time is between "hand in" and game shipment? I realize it's probably different for each game and subject to variation but can you give us an order of magnitude idea? 2 months? 6 months? A year?

2. I know it's not one of your games, but I am really hoping someone can post the latest on the status of Kingdom of Heaven. It's been pretty quiet lately and I am really looking forward to this game.

Re: Tide at Sunrise update

1- it really depends here. There might be "gangprint" issues (meaning a game needs to be bundled with others to get printed and awaits other games being ready) - or a printer error can happen that makes us start over. Without any outside hinderances, i would say 8-10 weeks would be a good guess of submission to publishing.

2- Yeah, not mine so I only know from second hand info - but I believe the rules are still being prepped for printing by the designer and the developer. MMP is awaiting the designer handing in the rulebook. MMP is anxious to get this one out though...so I suspect when the designer submits, the game will go quickly to press. Just my guess on that - and the part before....

Re: Tide at Sunrise update

I'm eager to pre-order this one but can't until MMP decides on the international postage issue to Canada. Is there any progress on this issue?

Re: Tide at Sunrise update

Just to give an update on my upcoming week...WED is 99.9% done. I have an outstanding request from my primary researcher on an OOB question...should hear soon. After that, just need to get the corrections to Niko and he can finish up WED and submit it to MMP.

Tide at Sunrise is done and submitted to the printers. Should be at MMP any day now. Looks great and Niko has outdone himself on this one. I have an advanced Naval game that I will be adding to the game (and using about 1/2 of the counters) and posting on line next month.

This week, while I await the WED answers, I am working on War of the Suns. Final counter check and the map was a tad off on dimensions and needs to be fixed. Also, getting A Victory Approaches ready for Niko as well...

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Have a great week,

Adam

Various games update

WED - all done - just waiting on getting some Niko time. Niko's been busy with other projects and I am waiting in line. Tide at Sunrise's optional naval rules are right behind WED - but WED is first. While I await Niko, I am very much enjoying getting to know Lincoln's War. John Poniske has done a remarkable job on this one and it offers a novel and fascinating approach to strategic Civil War. The VASSAL set is available for testing and I'll be asking for volunteers shortly for this one.

When Niko is besieged, I also catch up on other things....La Belle Alliance continues to cruise along and we are fast approaching prepub time and just today went to the library to do some A Victory Approaches research. This one is also ready to go now as soon as I get prepub art.

Lastly, Mas just sent me some new rules to test out for Red Star Rising. Some interesting variants that I will likely make permanent.

Busy times but I look forward to getting busier and getting WED done.

Re: Tide at Sunrise update

Hi Adam -- can you please provide an update on Crusade & Revolution? Also, any update on the final map design? The red and blue boxes as well as the somewhat monochromatic map are, frankly, unattractive. I have seen map versions on boardgame geek (or whatever it is) and they show very attractive multicolor ones. Thanks!

Crusade & Revolution

I neglected to change the title to the above post. It should be for C&R.

Re: Tide at Sunrise update

I was wondering how the production of Where Eagles Dare and No Question of Surrender is at. Is there a chance one or both will be published this year?
