Re: More Updates
Quick question on RISING SUN: I noticed in the Chas update back in May that the mini-HASL Gavutu and Tanambogo scenarios were listed in the planned inventory; and was wondering if EVERYTHING that came in ASL Annual 93b (and is needed to play that one mini-HASL is included (ie if there is one map or/and the 3 overlays and any associated rules all in the RISING SUN module) For I do not know what that mini-HASL includes and thus am asking. (Not to mention figuring out if I should still attempt to get the Annual one way or another; or simply wait to spend my money on RISING SUN?
Thanks - John

Re: More Updates
Rising Sun will include all that is needed for G&T. ASL Annual 93b is a fine product that you may wish to acquire for other reasons.

Re: More Updates
Thanks Perry!
I will eventually try to get all the ASL Annuals; but now only at the right price - and not as needed with 93b since G&T will come in RISING SUN. Really looking forward to it coming out in pre-order soon.
And I figured the WED question out for myself. (Where Eagles Dare)
Thanks again - John

Re: More Updates
Great work everyone. Just wanted to know> In reading about the upcoming Winter Offensive in January. It is Mention the Special Ops Issue #2 and A Winter Offensive Scenario Pack for ASL will be available at the event. Will the Winter Offensive scenario Pack be available for purchase through the website after the event or will it only be available at the WO ?
Thanks Take Care Roy

Re: More Updates
We need a counter update for the ASL Journal #9 Suicide Creek Campaign Game. There are no USMC gun or vehicle crew counters and no Japanese hero, 2nd line or conscripe MMCs. There may not even be enough MMCs for either side to play the campaign game. Someone should take a closer look at this. The map and the Campaign itself looks great. I just feel bad for those newbies that have no USMC or Japanese counters. In their case the whole thing is almost unplayable. I do like the idea of dedicated assault engineers for both sides. I have VotG and it works well there too!

Re: More Updates
Thanks for the shout out, Bugslayer.
Not only did I get boards 48-51 already; but I got another set when I finally acquired my copy of AoO. (Wished I'd gotten the SK style boards with that copy; oh, well.)
The only hard boards I'm still in the hunt for is 42-46; and sadly, I had three friends over for cards, food/drink, and a movie and missed the bidding on those two 28 and 29 board auction where I coulda got 2 or 3 of them and a few doubles too for a cheap price.
Such is life sometimes when trying not to pay too much vice putting one's highest bid up on eBay and seeing what happens.
Have a Merry Christmas! (And looking forward to AP #8 and Festung Budapest soon)
Not to mention, the eventual Rising Sun pre-order too.

Re: More Updates
@KED, the counters in J9 are intended to supplement the existing Code of Bushido and Gung Ho! counters, which are indeed required in order to play Suicide Creek. I am surprised that anyone might think otherwise.
I also feel sorry for anyone who does not have COB and GH. We do intend to put Rising Sun up for preorder in 2012 to rectify that.

Re: More Updates
I have a spare set in SK if you would like them....I also missed that auction which would have filled most of my gaps. Oh well such is life. I am also looking forward to said releases, have a merry Christmas all.

Re: More Updates
Perry on, A half counter sheet or less would have solved the problem. COB and the USMC mods have been out of print for how long? 10 years +?. Some thought for the newbie should have been put into this if only to draw them into buying the new Japanese/Chinese/USMC/Early USA mod. For the extra 5-10 bucks it would have cost I still would have purchased it. I sort of feel short changed. MMP can do better than this.

Re: More Updates
I did order Festung Budapest. I have all the mods to play this CG besides the large amount of counters that come with this HASL mod. I am sure it will be of the highest quality. Also MMP has been good to me in the past. On two occations I ended up with miss cut or stained counter sheets that they replaced at no charge. Its hard to complain about costomer service like that! I know they can fix the Suicide Creek CG with a few more counters. I for one am willing to pay for them. MMP please help the newbies!

Re: More Updates
At the risk of sounding ancient, which I am, I am looking to acquire the up-grades to "Blitzkrieg", an Avalon Hill game of the 1960-1970 era. Any leads, feedback, or information will be appreciated.

Re: More Updates
dalder, Blitzkrieg was the first wargame i ever played. Think i got my copy for my 12th birthday back 1968. What a ton of fun i've had playing it back in the day. Didnt know there are any upgrades for it. Will keep my ear to the ground for u. Check out gamesquad.com. Its a great site for all types of boardgaming. You may be able to get some info there.
