Important Preorder Announcement! Minimize

How do I preorder?

Simply place an order for a preorder product. IMPORTANT: If you mix preorder product and in-stock product your order will be split into one or more separate orders; one order for all in-stock product, and one order for each preorder product. This also means that the total at checkout will appear higher than what you are actually charged, since we do not charge for preorders until the product is ready to ship. You will be charged shipping for each order, because they are separate shipments.

To review your orders and preorders, please visit the "Cart & Account" link above, and click on the "Order History" link within. You may also update your credit card information for your preorders here.

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at problems@multimanpublishing.com.

Shipping Charges

IMPORTANT: Due to ever-changing rates charged by USPS/UPS there may be changes made to postage rates while your preorder is waiting to "hit". MMP charges the actual rates from United Parcel Service and the United States Postal Service. You should consider the shipping and handling charge quoted when you placed your preorder as an estimate, as actual rates will be charged with the game is ready to ship and your credit card is billed.

At any time, if the shipping price quotes is more, or less, than $3 from the actual "stamp" price (once we pack the box and get ready to get it out the door) we will credit, or bill, that amount to your card.

For example, imagine you order a game and the shipping is listed at $4 and the actual shipping cost is $6.95. MMP will "eat" that $2.95 underpayment. If the actual shipping cost was $7.05, we would further charge your card $3.05."

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at problems@multimanpublishing.com

Breakthrough: Cambrai

$40.00
Qty:   Add to cart

On November 20, 1917, 324 British tanks, followed by 8 infantry divisions, advanced on a front of 10,000 yards against the German lines near Cambrai in Flanders. In many places, the attackers suffered almost no casualties and breached the German lines. Will it be possible, this time, to break through to the “green fields beyond”?

Breakthrough: Cambrai is two player game simulating the British assault to breach the “Hindenburg Line” between November 20 and December 3, 1917. One player controls the British forces, the other the German forces. The object of the game is to control a certain number of areas on the map or, for the British, to exit units off the map into certain perimeter zones.

Breakthrough: Cambrai is an area-movement game which uses impulse mechanics (where players alternate "mini-turns") similar to popular games like Breakout:Normandy and Monty's Gamble, Market Garden. The impulse nature of the game means little or no down time for each player while waiting for the other to complete a move or attack.

Breakthrough: Cambrai contains:

  • 1 22” x 34” map (check it out!)
  • 1 16-page rulebook
  • 1 16 page scenario/play booklet
  • 2 Sheets of 5/8” counters (check out some samples!)
  • 4 Setup and Reinforcement Cards
  • 2 player aid cards
  • 4 dice

Breakthrough: Cambrai
is a Michael Rinella design, developed by Uli Blennemann, and using the artwork of Niko Eskubi.

Rules need a major overhaul. Could be a very good game.

Not sure what rules Blackjack is reading. I thought they were very tight. Lots of modifiers to remember, but these are well summarized on the player aid charts

This is a very good development of the Area-impulse game system. I recommend this game for players new to the Area-impulse game system and for experts alike. It is a British steamroller attack cristallized timely by the Germans - with definitive potential for a German counterthrust. The game has FOUR scenarios. THE RULES ARE VERY GOOD and Michael Rinella is very helpful and precise with every question on the www.consimworld.com forum. IMO the map graphics could be more appealing and the informational value of the counters is hindered by IMO unlucky design.

BC is a gem of a game, using a very improved (from BKN) system of area movement an combat. Easy to learn, tough to master, with low counter density this is a great package.

Very nice treatment of an iconic and dynamic WWI battle. Easy to learn even if you've never played are move games, and lots of replay value.
